Link a Bank to Silo
Congratulations on creating your account! Now that you've taken that important step, it's time to link your bank account to make transfers and transactions. Below, we'll guide you through the process step-by-step.
Access the Link Bank Page
- Navigate to the Transfers page. This is where you'll initiate the process of linking your bank account.
- On the Transfers page, look for and then click on the "Link Bank" button.
Choose Your Linking Method
- After clicking the "Link Bank" button, you'll be presented with two options: either manually adding your Account & Routing number or through
- Manual Linking: You can manually link your bank account by entering your banking information, including your account number and routing number. Follow the prompts provided on the screen to complete this process.
- Plaid Linking: Alternatively, you can use Plaid, a secure third-party service, to link your bank account. Plaid offers a convenient and streamlined process for connecting accounts.
Complete the Linking Process
- If you choose the manual linking method, carefully enter your banking information as prompted. Ensure that the details are accurate to avoid any issues with the linking process.
- If you opt for Plaid linking, you'll be redirected to their platform, where you'll select your bank and provide your online banking credentials. Plaid will securely verify and link your account.
- Once you’ve provided the credentials to link your bank, you will be prompted to a 2-factor authentication page to ensure safety and security during this process.
After linking your bank account, your account status may enter a pending state. This is a normal part of the verification process, especially if you've used Plaid.
Processing Time
Typically, the verification process takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. However, if you link your bank account after hours, it may take up to a day for the verification to be finalized.
